I have two announcements regarding video therapy:
1) There is the possibility I’ve got coronavirus and I don’t want to expose anyone to it. Therefore, all my sessions through March will be by video. At the end of March I’ll reassess, although I think there’s a good chance everyone will be wanting to keep to video still at that point. The system I use is very use friendly and requires only a browser. I am still accepting new clients at this time and I’m still offering my free 30-minute consultation; right now those consultations will be by video. And remember, I’m board-certified in telemental health (video counseling). Not a lot of therapists are.
2) I’m offering free small group therapy (by video) for people who have been affected by the coronavirus events. This therapy is offered free of charge for anyone who couldn’t otherwise afford counseling. Each group will have 4 participants in addition to me. The groups are scheduled to take place four weeks in a row and will be made up of the same four members each time. This is a chance to get support, have some social interaction, and get some tools for anxiety, etc. You’ll find the information on it here: https://vitaliscounseling.com/cv19/
Wash your hands, everyone, and wash them often! I’ll be seeing you by video! Be kind to yourselves as you go through this very unsettling time in your life. Uncertainty is hard. Find ways to do something meaningful for yourself, even if it’s just turning off media for a while and getting away from all the stressful news.
